Inside WATDA in Ponsonby Central

Our story

The warmth of Korean home cooking

A modern Korean eatery in the back of Ponsonby Central — all-in-one meals and an ever-changing lineup of fresh, seasonal sides.

Food that fills you up and slows you down

WATDA is a modern Korean-inspired eatery built around one simple idea: the all-in-one meal. Every main arrives with rice, soup and a rotating lineup of banchan, so a single dish feels like a whole Korean table.

It's the kind of food that brings people together — honest, generous and rooted in home-style cooking. No fuss, no pretension, just a warm welcome, seven days a week in Ponsonby.

“You deserve a wholesome Korean meal.”

The all-in-one way

One dish, a whole table

In a Korean home, a meal is never just one plate. So every WATDA main comes with banchan — kimchi, seaweed salad, pickled radish, garlic-chive pancake, seasoned quail egg and miso soup — alongside rice and soup.

The sides change with the seasons, so there's always a reason to come back.
